Raven Lynette sat naked in her bathtub, a noseclip pinched onto her nose. She took a deep breath, filling her lungs completely before ducking under the water's surface. Raven held perfectly still, not a ripple disturbing the otherworldly stillness around her nude body submerged in the tub. Time seemed to slow down as the seconds ticked by.

30 seconds passed. Raven remained utterly motionless, a living statue underwater, the only sign of life her distended belly as her lungs held the air she had taken in. One minute now. Her skin began to prickle and her body temperature dropped from the chilly water. Raven felt her diaphragm begin to flutter, an involuntary reflex, desperate for oxygen.

1:45 on the clock now. Raven's mind raced despite her calm exterior. It had been months she she last had the opportunity to push her hypoxia limits. Just a little longer. 2:20. Her lungs burned fiercely and a panic began to creep in. She needed air. NOW.

With the last of her strength, Raven exploded upward from the depths, gasping for air, expelling the carbon dioxide from her lungs in a massive exhale. Bubbles churned the surface of the bathtub around her as she coughed and sputtered.

Finally at her last attempt, Raven looked at her timer with bated breath - 3:10! She had done it, finally breaking the three minute mark on her breath-holding challenge that she had perfected over the last year. Dizzy from hypoxia, the nude girl clung to the side of the tub, absolutely exhausted but incredibly proud of her new personal best time underwater. On to the next challenge - how long could she stay submerged without air?
